What a wonderful place is Rome, the eternal city, a place for Romatics, and especially honeymoons

It was wonderful to keep the promise of the coin in the Trevi fountain and go back again

The Forum and Colloseum are spectacular, but you need to get up early (or use photoshop) to avoid people in your pictures

Everyone goes to the Forum and Colloseum which are truly spectacular and have both improved in the decade between our visits as there is cleaning and restoration ongoing (finally!)

The Vatican and Pantheon are also top sites and well worth spending some time at. Security has increased at both sites, as it has all over Rome for obvious reasons

Finally, the backstreets are absolutely fascinating with something new (OK sometimes very old) and intersting around every corner even if it is just the spectactular parking
